After earning my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta, my husband and I made the move to Prince George in 1995. I started with Pacific Western Brewing in July 1996 where I worked in the QA department as a QA Tech and took on the ISO 9000 Coordinator’s role. I stayed in this role for over 20 years, and through it, I learned the intricacies of the brewing and packaging areas.
During this time, our late owner Kazuko Komatsu encouraged us to try new things and focus on quality products. This is when I took on the challenge of developing the non-beer side of our beverages and formulating our flavoured water, energy drinks, organic beverages, sodas, vodka drinks, and ciders that are known and loved today.
In 2018 I was promoted to Operations Manager and then Plant Manager in 2020. I have set up deep roots here and I have been very active in the running community in my spare time.
